The President yesterday signed into law the General Intelligence Law Amendment Act (GILAB). CFE has previously said that while this new Act is an improvement in many respects, it is deeply flawed. It does not provide sufficient oversight of the intelligence services, which was the problem that allowed the security agencies in the past to interfere in politics. Here is our full critique.
