About : Siphesihle Dywili

Siphesihle Dywili is a dedicated Journalism and Media Studies student with a focus on Television and Economics. Their work blends storytelling, analysis, and creativity through experience in radio, newsroom reporting, and digital media.
This project examines the risks journalists face when reporting on LGBTQIA+ rights in contexts where same-sex relationships are criminalised or heavily stigmatised. It addresses safety for both reporters and sources and outlines strategies for responsible, secure journalism.
Created with LGBTQIA+ communities in mind, it highlights ongoing discrimination and the need for equal respect, dignity, and protection.
